I think SW offers free returns so I won't have to pay return shipping.
SW's returns do not include the cost of return shipping. In fact, they even also deduct the original actual shipping cost, even if they sent it to you with "free" shipping. So a SW return does cost you shipping, both ways, which you may not find insignificant on a box as big as what the Genos would come in, especially if you are some distance away.
SW has some insane deal with shipping companies and they even sent me a return label. Me paying for a return directly is $120 but for them it was $40. Maybe because my rep has been selling me gear for many years but when I returned the M6 they paid for it or if they charged me it was a 1/3th of what I would have paid directly. It wasn't a damaged return but I didn't argue I used their value label. Maybe they have a new better policy to send return labels at a much cheaper cost. That's a nice service even if I still have to pay it.
That's good to know. So while you do have to pay shipping (both ways AFAIK), at least you're paying a heavily discounted rate. If they charge both directions at that rate, that's a total cost of $80 to try the keyboard for up to 30 days, which is not terrible. Heck, where I am, if I want to try one of these higher end boards in person, I probably have to take a commuter train plus subway into Manhattan (or drive and pay gas/tolls/parking), I'd probably already be spending $40 getting there and back, and I'd be lucky to get an hour on it! (On the plus side though, in one trip, I might be able to check out multiple boards of interest.)
