Page 127 of the Motif XF Data List document shows that performance part and voice common are two separate things. Can you provide a reference to the manual section that explains that? The manual appears to say that 'voice common' is the part common.
31 pp 0E is the parameter address of the Performance Part Volume. 40 00 40 is the parameter address of the Voice Common Volume. All I've found in the manual is the same info in the Modx and Montage manuals:
1. performance level volume parameter
2. part common volume parameter for each part of the performance
3. element level parameter for each element of a part
"Note that the MOTIF XF has no Preset Performances" (from page 28 of the owner's manual). The Motif XF has prepopulated user banks. I have overwritten this performance on my Motif XF. However, I can get the numbers from a backup: The performance volume is 127, and the parts are:Can you produce the problem using one of the presets on the Motif XF? There is already a Motif library available for the Montage/Modx and I've imported that.
The first perf is 'Piano Electro'd:
1. perf volume is 127
2. part 1 volume is 64 drum part - too many to check
3. part 2 volume is 84 - elements 127,0
4. part 3 volume is 100 - elements 127,127,127,120,103,103,87,127
5. part 4 volume is 59 - elements 127,127
What are the corresponding volumes for the native Motif perf?
- Part 1: performance part volume is 100 and voice common volume is 82.
- Part 2: performance part volume is 89 and voice common volume is 120.
- Part 3: performance part volume is 127 and voice common volume is 100.
- Part 4: performance part volume is 100 and voice common volume is 75.
