If I understand it correctly, it should be possible to sample VST instruments and then play them directly from the MODX. Has anyone tried this?

Looks like you didn't get an answer. It should work. I've been meaning to sample some Arturia sounds, but it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my TO-DO list.

Samplerobot is a terrific tool and it works quite well with MODX.

I have actually changed from the MODX+ to a PSR SX-720. Don't have the space for two keyboards

Not sure if the MODX version of sample robot vill allow exports to other formats than MONTAGE/MODX.
I guess I would need to export my VSTi's to *.wav for them to work on my PSR. I'll give it a try later.
