Not sure what you mean by used live; if you're talking about Yamaha Registration Manager by Murray Best? You convert registrations from one keyboard to yours (G2 automatically reads all registrations G1, T1-T5 automatically, no need to convert) but can't read PSR2000/3000/PSRs/PSRsx or CVP registrations. So you take your old registration from another board, convert it to G2 (or, as I mentioned, you can convert to G1, or even T1-T5, and your G2 will still read them). Note that if you convert to T2 or earlier, it will lose all live control settings (global keyboard/style volume balance) and if you convert to before G1 you'll lose your left screen pot/fader menus and assginments (sometimes you *don't* want them if you didn't create the registration, and you don't know what the registration is changing)
I wouldn't even call it exporting; take your old registrations on your usb stick, convert to G2 compatibility, then pop your USB stick back into G2, and voila. Hope that helps!
But I'm not aware of *any* pc software that intereacts with your keyboard in realtime, except for the Musicsoft downloader, and Yamaha Expansion, Expansion Explorer, and the now discontinued (but incrediblly effective) Repertoire finder, which let you load registrations from any keyboard into any other keyboard!
