Hi, I have all six original first issues of the Yamaha X Club magazine produced at Bletchley, UK.
According to the foreword in the first issue, this magazine replaced one known as 'Feedback' and it was issued every second month, starting as December 1987/January 1988. I also have what would appear to be the first one issued in 1989 but it didn't appear until July. It is a different format and at the bottom of the first inside page, it refers to it as being "Your New X-Press", and this is the first of four to be issued that year. Most of them have 17 pages of interesting information about current equipment of that period and two have 19 pages.
I have tried to find further information about them online to see how many issues actually were produced but there's not much to be found. I plan to put them up for sale on another site but before doing so, I wondered if it would be of interest to members here if I were to scan them and upload them to the forum? Issues two and three came with one-page inserts which I can also scan, for interest. I've attached pictures of the front covers, plus the inside first pages of the first issue.
I believe I probably signed up for these when I lived in Scotland and bought a DX21. I now live in Florida so will probably advertise them over here.
Hoping to hear back from someone who can relate to the 1980's and still uses Yamaha equipment from that era.
